The idea of Pikuach Nefesh is that actions that save a life must be taken even in contravention of conventional halacha, with very few exceptions. Safek Pikuach Nefesh refers to a situation in which a given action may not end up saving a life, such as if there is no certain, life-threatening danger. This class discusses recent attempts to establish the halachic definition of a "possibly dangerous situation" and their implications for COVID-19.

We will begin in breakout rooms for learning and then join together for a presentation by Rabbi Dov Dukhovny.
